Meadows Exclusive Seedlings
On this page are a few of the dahlia and chrysanthemum seedlings which I have selected for possible future distribution. This may take several years for some, especially those dahlias which are considered of sufficient quality to send to dahlia trial gardens. I will continue to monitor the growing and blooming qualities of each seedling until I' m confident they are worthy of sending out into the world. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures and I will continue to add more each growing season.
A chrysanthemum seedling from the 2025 growing season, in my first ever batch of hybridized seed. Blooms were 5 inches on a 5 foot tall plant with nice long stems. I love the soft colour of this one, champagne pink, and the fact that it bloomed in early October.
My favourite seedling from the 2023 growing season. Blooms are heavily-petalled with a colour not seen in my dahlia garden in all the years I've been growing them. I will be growing out in increasing numbers in 2026.
Meadows Memory is a seedling from an Aggie White x Walter Hardisty cross. I have compared the blooms of this seedling to those from Walter and they are distinctly different, much tidier. As you can see, blooms are large on a 5 foot tall plant. This seedling bloomed for the first time the week my father passed away, a last parting gift from him, so holds a special place in my heart.
Another beautiful softly coloured chrysanthemum seedling with a strongly incurved form and wide petals from 2025. I look forward to growing more plants in 2026.
This second year seedling is a beautiful silver lavender colour. The blooms were ball shaped and 4 inches on a 4.5 foot tall plant. I will watch this one closely in 2026.
