Meadows Biddy-Bee is named after our dachshund Astro (Biddy-Bee-Baloobah), who left us just 3 weeks after Lyra-Lou. I’m so happy to have a second seedling for release to name after our boy. Biddy-Bee is a lovely 8-10cm shell-pink bloom with petals which become a darker pink towards the centre. The most outstanding feature of this dahlia is its long, strong, yet thinner stems, making it a cut flower dream. Height of the plant is approx. 150cm and it makes lovely, easy to split tubers. This third year seedling won the top prize for the market bunch class at the Canadian Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Show, a testament to its value for the cut flower market.
